UX Writing - to onboard users

PDs need to be nerds into writing for tool tips and help texts, because they serve as signposts for users, and form the first impression of our apps. It means that decide they play a key role in determining the success of our apps.

We need to,

✅ prevent our users from thinking too much at the starting point.

✅ use words which are lively, straightforward, and friendlier

✅ set our landing page to look so simple. Just focus on visuals.
We invite users to features that require many choices and concentration , we do not make them feel pressured from the beginning

✅ nudge users with gentle words, emoji is a good tool for it

E.g. You're almost there!☺️  Just one more step

✅ avoid using similar but semantically different words,

E.g. Sign up  = Create a new account / Sign in = log in via an existing account

* If you have no idea how to replace them, need to use distinct tones of colours for both them : Link

PRODUCT WRITING CHEATSHEET :
Check the current app fatigues and improve them effectively

Although this book explains English copywriting, It's applicable to apps using other languages, as It's based on world-standard rules.

It introduces the purpose of each buttons, and the expected user actions.

before I read it, I didn't realize the importance of either capitalisations and icons.

✅ Icons can replace wordy texts.

✅ Not every shortened words is good to sue
E.g. Using 'Delete your current project ' is better than "Delete"

Important qualities for UXUX Designers

Most small businesses require PDs to handle UX writing as well.

Therefore, we have to strengthen our searching skills.

✅ Identify crucial questions

✅ Create a draft list to standards

E.g. How it will affect our existing business, what the expected effects of this product are..

✅ Use tags to define whether this item is related to a certain feature

✅ Use analyzing tool (Tableau) to capture the repeating keywords in research materials

💡Just a minor tip

- Follow Figma's updates - There's a high chance that you can utilize new features
